Overview
Our summary of the best rude birthday gifts for a friend is to get them something that is funny and playful, but also shows that you care about them. I think the fact that you’re reading this means you’re already on the right lines.
Can we really be sure though?
Yes, I think so. Read on.
Summary of what sort of gift to get
I think it depends what kind of relationship you have with them; some people just like to have a laugh and a bit of banter, but others need to know that you really care. For this reason, I’d recommend getting them something a little more personal, maybe something custom-printed or engraved. If it’s just a standard playful thing that anyone could buy then it doesn’t really say much about your relationship.
It also depends on what they’re like and what they like – some people are happy to have a laugh at themselves (such as myself), whereas others are not so comfortable with it. If they’re the latter then I’d suggest going for something that is making fun of you rather than them – hopefully they’ll see the funny side and realise it’s not so bad and maybe next time you can get them something that does make fun of them. Or maybe they’ll see how easy it is to make fun of someone and will get you something similar!
