What sort of rude birthday gift to give?
The most common gift that people buy from us for their lover or partner is a candle that has something suggestive on it. I honestly think the reason for this is that both the giver and receiver get something out of it. Plus the way that we package them is quite lovely too. They come in a solid black presentation box, wrapped in black tissue; they honestly do look really smart. Plus a candle is always considered a 'nice' gift regardless of what scent it is or what it says on the label!
I've found from talking with customers is that they are often nervous about asking for intimate favours; they feel a little too self-conscious and are worried about rejection. An easy solution therefore is to make a joke of it and get a gift that could either be taken literally or just seen as a bit of harmless fun.
It gives both the giver and recipient an easy get-out if it feels too awkward.
On the other hand, if you are fortune to have the sort of relationship where you can boldly ask for what you want, this is also a good reason to get the same sort of suggestive gift. You both know it's meant literally and can be used accordingly!
